Sidekick

Reminder Alt

Periodic reminders about a topic that rotates through the topic entries.

Imagine you want Sidekick to remind you every quarter about having lunch with your friends, as well as whose turn it is to pay! The first thing to do is tell Sidekick who is part of it:
Friend Lunch

Harry
Hermione
Ron

It's important to record the names as separate entries (the extra return/newline after Friend Lunch tells Sidekick to do that) so that Sidekick can rotate through them one at a time. Of course, if two people are going to share then you can send them in the same message and they will be treated as one entry.

Next, you send   q remindalt quarter Friend Lunch   which sets the 3 month reminder and queues up the first entry. You can abbreviate the command to   qralt quarter Friend Lunch

You can check the results by sending   Friend Lunch   or   qt Friend Lunch   and you will get back the next date and whose turn it is to pay.

That's it - Sidekick will take care of the rest. If you need to skip to the next person, you can tell Sidekick   qralt next Friend Lunch

You of course are not limited to people. You could create a topic called games, list out each game, and then rotate through them.
Games

Cards Against Humanity
Settlers of Catan

and so on would create the list and   qralt week Games   would remind you each week about which game is next.

Sidekick will recognize the abbreviations   qralt   and   qr alt   as well as variants using q remind alt or q reminder alt. If you just need a periodic reminder, take a look at: q remind - Periodic reminders about a topic
